A Medical Office Representative at AdventHealth supports patient access and registration operations at the outpatient clinic located at 7720 S Broadway in Littleton, Colorado.
### What you'll do
- Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and route calls to the appropriate departments.
- Welcome patients; collect, verify, and enter demographics, insurance, and billing information into relevant systems.
- Register patients for services, facilitate timely discharge, and support accurate reimbursement processes.
- Collect co-pays and outstanding balances at check-in; maintain financial eligibility and benefits documentation.
- Communicate patient status to clinical team members and keep patients informed to support smooth operational flow.
- Educate patients on test locations, patient portal navigation, and non-clinical follow-up steps.
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's degree in Health Services Administration or related field (preferred).
- 1+ year of customer service experience in a medical office setting with working knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and payment collection (preferred).
- Prior collections experience (preferred).
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) credential (preferred).
- Strong communication skills and ability to maintain collaborative relationships with clinical and ancillary partners.
