About this role
AdventHealth Redmond is hiring a contract Emergency Room RN for mid-shift coverage (36 hours/week) at its Rome, Georgia hospital.
### What you'll do
- Perform thorough, ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans aligned with interdisciplinary goals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and protocol adherence.
- Collaborate with physicians, staff, and families to support timely patient admission, discharge, and transfer.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, procedures, and care plans based on assessed learning needs.
- Maintain safe handoff communication, documentation, and compliance with CDC isolation guidelines and PPE protocols.
- Participate in quality, safety, and practice improvement initiatives and peer review processes.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, abstract reasoning, and English communication skills (verbal, written, and reading).
### What's included
- Base contract rate of $56/hour plus shift differential.
- Available shifts: 11a–11p, 12p–12a, and 1p–1a.
- 36-hour weekly schedule.
