About this role
A Radiology Technologist role at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs in Altamonte Springs, Florida, performing diagnostic imaging on a Monday–Friday day schedule with no weekends, holidays, or on-call hours.
### What you'll do
- Perform general radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging procedures, selecting appropriate technical factors to produce high-quality images within department standards.
- Position patients and manipulate radiographic equipment safely for a full range of diagnostic procedures, including surgery and trauma cases.
- Monitor patient condition, ensure comfort and safety, and apply infection control techniques throughout each procedure.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and PACS systems with correct patient demographic and exam information.
- Conduct routine equipment cleaning and safety checks; notify appropriate personnel when supply inventory is low.
- Apply radiation safety principles (time, distance, shielding) to keep exposure ALARA for patients and staff.
### What we're looking for
- ARRT registration in Radiography — RT(R)(ARRT) required.
- BLS/CPR certification (adult and infant) required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1+ year of post-certification radiologic technology experience, or new graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Proficiency with radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment and radiology software (Cerner, RadNet, PACS).
- Ability to perform radiographic procedures independently, without constant supervision of technical detail.
