About this role
AdventHealth Kissimmee is hiring a PRN MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging at its hospital campus in Kissimmee, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations per physician orders and departmental protocols, adapting techniques for patients of all ages.
- Screen patients, staff, and equipment for MRI safety compliance, including completion of all required screening documentation.
- Review patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify contraindications such as implanted devices, metal, claustrophobia, or contrast allergies.
- Prepare and administer IV contrast material, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and position patients using appropriate coil placement and immobilization techniques.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the EMR and PACS systems and perform daily quality control checks per regulatory requirements.
- Ensure exam rooms remain clean, stocked, and equipment-ready; notify personnel when inventory is low.
### What we're looking for
- Active ARRT registration in MRI (R.T.(MR)(ARRT)) or ARMRIT certification — required.
- Current BLS/CPR certification — required.
- Minimum 1 year of radiology experience with completion of an MRI training program — preferred.
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field — preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated ability to identify MRI contraindications and execute safety protocols consistently.

- Hourly pay range: $28.68 – $53.35 (approximately $59,654 – $110,968 annualized at 2,080 hours).
