About this role

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a PRN CT Technologist for night and weekend shifts at AdventHealth Glenoaks in Glendale Heights, Illinois. ### What you'll do - Perform high-quality CT examinations per provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis. - Prepare and administer IV contrast material, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and maintain radiation safety using ALARA principles. - Review patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications. - Operate and maintain all imaging equipment—including scanners, injectors, and monitors—adapting protocols for patients of all ages. - Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the EMR and PACS systems, following patient identification and time-out procedures. - Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of care. ### What we're looking for - ARRT Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R)) — required. - ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) certification — preferred. - BLS/CPR certification — required. - 1+ years of radiology experience with completion of a CT training program — preferred. - Proficiency in PACS, cross-sectional anatomy, cardiac and vascular imaging, and 3D workstation applications. - High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. ### What's included - Pay range: $31.03–$57.72 per hour ($64,542–$120,058 annualized equivalent). - PRN schedule covering nights and weekends. ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth (formerly Adventist Midwest Health) operates a network of hospitals and outpatient facilities across the Chicago suburbs, rooted in a faith-based mission of whole-person care.
