About this role

AdventHealth Palm Coast is hiring a full-time Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) at its flagship campus on AdventHealth Way in Palm Coast, Florida. ### What you'll do - Set up operating suites using surgeon preference cards and maintain up-to-date supply and instrument selections - Provide intraoperative visualization through tissue retraction, sponging, suction, and irrigation while anticipating surgeon needs - Achieve temporary and permanent hemostasis and assist with body-plane closures, wound dressing, and drain securement - Measure and pass medications, hemostatic agents, and irrigation solutions per safe medication-handling and labeling policy - Perform instrument, sharps, and sponge counts with the circulator and participate in the surgical time-out procedure - Maintain strict aseptic technique throughout each case and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization and transport ### What we're looking for - Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) credential — required - BLS/CPR certification — required - High school diploma or equivalent — required; Associate degree preferred - 2+ years of relevant surgical first-assist experience — preferred - Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential — preferred - Demonstrated knowledge of surgical anatomy, aseptic technique, and operative procedures ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $28.68–$53.35 (~$59,654–$110,968 annualized) - $15,000 sign-on bonus (eligibility requirements apply) - $3,000 relocation assistance (eligibility requirements apply) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one and four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan ### About the practice AdventHealth Palm Coast is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care.
