About this role
AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Advanced Respiratory Therapist I for night shift at its Waterford Lakes campus in Orlando, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, including High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation, and transport ventilator-dependent patients.
- Perform airway maintenance including intubation, extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy tube changes.
- Deliver inhaled medications, bronchial hygiene therapy, lung expansion therapy, and inhaled vasodilators.
- Respond to Code Blue emergencies, providing CPR per American Heart Association guidelines.
- Perform hemodynamic procedures including arterial cannulation, pulmonary artery catheter insertion, and cardiac output profiling.
- Document and charge procedures accurately in the EMR and collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team on patient goal-setting.
### What we're looking for
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science (required); Bachelor's preferred.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required; active NBRC credential preferred and required as a condition of continued eligibility.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of critical care experience.
- Proficiency in airway management, ABG puncture, arterial cannulation, and advanced ventilator modes.
- Preferred: experience in the Emergency Department, neonatal/pediatric respiratory care, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump management.

The Waterford Lakes campus serves the east Orlando community and provides a full range of acute and critical care services. The respiratory therapy department supports ICU, emergency, and specialty units across the facility.
