Consumer Access Specialist PRN

A Consumer Access Specialist (PRN) at AdventHealth Redmond handles patient registration, insurance verification, and financial counseling at a hospital campus in Rome, Georgia. ### What you'll do - Register patients for all hospital services, ensuring accuracy and preventing duplicate medical records - Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and obtain pre-authorizations within required timeframes - Conduct Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as needed - Generate accurate patient financial responsibility estimates and collect payments or establish payment plans - Coordinate with utilization management staff on pre-authorization issues and provide patients with logistical information ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred - 1+ year of customer service, relevant healthcare, or revenue cycle experience preferred - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with database programs - Ability to operate standard office equipment (computer, fax, printer, scanner) - Strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written - Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) preferred ### What's included - Pay range: $15.89–$25.43/hour (~$33,051–$52,894 annualized) - PRN/per-diem schedule with flexibility across days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays ### About the practice AdventHealth Redmond is a faith-based community hospital located in Rome, Georgia, part of the AdventHealth system.
