About this role
AdventHealth Lake Wales is hiring a full-time Critical Care RN for night shift at its acute care hospital in Lake Wales, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on findings and medical diagnoses.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; monitor and adjust care plans based on patient response.
- Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established critical care protocols.
- Document all care activities accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff while collaborating with the broader care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality outcomes.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- EKG knowledge appropriate to the critical care patient population.
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and abstract reasoning skills for complex patient assessment.
- Experience in a specialty or critical care area (preferred); Cerner or EPIC EMR experience (preferred).
