About this role
AdventHealth Lake Wales is hiring a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for its acute care nursing unit in Lake Wales, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform and oversee venous access procedures and infusion therapy, adjusting care plans based on patient responses.
- Assess patient conditions to determine appropriate venous access methods and manage complications as they arise.
- Monitor nursing staff performance, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to maintain clinical standards.
- Lead unit-level quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data and executing strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
- Mentor and precept new staff through hands-on training and ongoing professional development support.
- Ensure unit compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policies to uphold patient safety standards.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida; BLS certification required.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of charge nurse or nursing leadership experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills applied to unit operations and patient care delivery.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records and solid written and verbal communication skills.
