About this role
AdventHealth Dade City is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist at its inpatient facility in Dade City, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform evaluations and re-evaluations using evidence-based techniques, then establish and adapt individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and appropriate frequency.
- Document patient care accurately and completely in the EMR using objective, measurable terminology.
- Provide patient and caregiver education, including discharge planning recommendations, and discharge patients when maximum benefit is achieved.
- Oversee the work of certified occupational therapy assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides in accordance with regulatory and practice standards.
- Maintain productivity standards through effective time management and clinical efficiency, adjusting hours to meet patient needs.
- Participate in community events, educational lectures, and public awareness initiatives that extend clinical expertise beyond the facility.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida OT license or temporary OT license (required); Master's degree in Occupational Therapy preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Proficiency with EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and standard clinical documentation practices.
- Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and administrative staff.
- Commitment to evidence-based and best-practice clinical standards.
- Willingness to serve as a clinical instructor and contribute to departmental performance improvement initiatives.
