About this role
AdventHealth Manchester is hiring a part-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist at its facility in Manchester, Kentucky.
### What you'll do
- Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures using scintigraphic cameras, acquisition computers, and processing stations, evaluating image quality for technical and diagnostic accuracy.
- Prepare and aseptically administer radionuclides to patients across all age groups using universal BSI principles.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of care.
- Maintain quality control documentation, enter radionuclide administration data and exam charges into the Nuclear Medicine Information System and Order Communication System.
- Confirm patient and exam accuracy before releasing images for interpretation; correct erroneous accession numbers and notify appropriate personnel for after-hours transmissions.
- Maintain room readiness, monitor equipment condition, and initiate work order requests for malfunctioning equipment.
### What we're looking for
- Active registration as R.T.(N)(ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.
- Knowledge of scintigraphic equipment, hot lab equipment, and radiation safety principles (ALARA) required.
- Proficiency with radiology software such as Cerner, Radworks, and PACS required.
- Strong multitasking, critical thinking, and independent judgment skills required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
