About this role

AdventHealth Redmond is hiring a full-time Surgical Scheduler for its Cardiology department in Rome, Georgia. ### What you'll do - Collect patient clinical, demographic, and insurance data; verify payer coverage and obtain physician orders prior to scheduling - Enter referrals into the EHR, verify required information before admission, and maintain accurate patient reference files - Serve as liaison between facility clinicians and clinical teams to ensure timely patient scheduling and track all referral statuses - Perform and document payer verification, including Medicare eligibility and insurance or self-pay confirmation - Coordinate with the central billing office to resolve billing issues and ensure timely claim submission - Oversee daily clerical operations, supervise secretarial staff, and participate in interviews, orientation, and performance evaluations ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required - 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting required - Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office; EHR scheduling experience preferred - Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with patients, families, nurses, and physicians - 1+ year of technical experience in a healthcare administrative role preferred - BLS/CPR certification preferred ### What's included - Pay range: $15.89–$25.43/hr (~$33,051–$52,894 annually) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from Day One - Paid Time Off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Whole-person well-being and mental health support resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Redmond is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network serving communities across the United States.
