About this role
AdventHealth Manchester is seeking a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join its imaging team in Manchester, Kentucky.
### What you'll do
- Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures with proficiency in gamma camera acquisition and computer processing, evaluating images for technical and diagnostic quality.
- Prepare and aseptically administer radionuclides to patients using universal BSI principles, confirming patient and exam accuracy prior to each procedure.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to support appropriate imaging and continuity of care.
- Enter quality control data, radionuclide administration records, and exam charges into the Nuclear Medicine Information System and Order Communication System accurately and on time.
- Maintain room readiness, keep supplies stocked, and document equipment malfunction work orders as needed.
- Support coworker and student development by sharing knowledge of nuclear medicine protocols, radiation safety, and image quality standards.
### What we're looking for
- Active ARRT registration in Nuclear Medicine Technology (R.T.(N)(ARRT)) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) credential required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.
- Knowledge of scintigraphic equipment, acquisition computers, processing stations, and hot lab equipment.
- Ability to apply radiation safety principles (time, distance, shielding) to maintain ALARA exposure levels.
- Proficiency or ability to learn radiology software including Cerner, Radworks, and PACS.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.
### What's included
- Hourly pay range: $27.21 – $50.60 (annualized equivalent approximately $56,597 – $105,248 based on 2,080 hours).
- PRN day-shift schedule offering flexible availability.
