About this role

A full-time Registered Nurse role on the Clinical Observation/PCU unit at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs in Altamonte Springs, Florida, caring for a mixed observation and inpatient population across a 36-bed unit. ### What you'll do - Perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors. - Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and evidence-based standards. - Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions. - Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and self-care to support understanding and compliance. - Collaborate with physicians, ancillary departments, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless patient care. - Support observation-to-diagnosis workflows targeting a 30-hour or less length of stay as a strategic extension of the emergency department. ### What we're looking for - Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher. - Current Florida or Multistate RN licensure. - Minimum six (6) months of experience as a Registered Nurse. - Current BLS certification. - Current ACLS certification. ### What's included - Pay range: $31.53–$52.24/hr ($65,582–$108,659 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - CME and career development resources; whole-person well-being and mental health support. ### About the practice AdventHealth Altamonte Springs is a faith-mission-driven hospital system focused on whole-person care.
