About this role

AdventHealth Lake Wales is hiring a Critical Care RN on a day-shift contract basis (36 hours/week) at its acute care hospital in Lake Wales, Florida. ### What you'll do - Conduct thorough, ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care aligned with interdisciplinary goals. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and strict adherence to protocols. - Implement plan-of-care interventions safely and document all actions taken in a timely manner. - Educate patients and families on health conditions, procedures, and care plans based on assessed learning needs. - Ensure safe handoff communication and documentation at all transitions of care. - Follow CDC isolation guidelines, apply appropriate PPE, and enforce infection-control and safety regulations. ### What we're looking for - Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license. - Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting. - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. - Current BLS/CPR certification required. - Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred. - Proficiency in abstract clinical reasoning and Windows-based computer navigation. ### What's included - Contract rate of $51.80/hr (36 hours per week). - Day-shift schedule supporting work-life balance. - Mission-driven work environment within a nationally recognized faith-based health system. ### About the practice AdventHealth Lake Wales is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system serving communities across the United States with a whole-person approach to care.
