Certified Sterile Processing Tech - Lenexa City Center

AdventHealth Lenexa City Center is hiring a full-time Certified Sterile Processing Technician at its facility in Lenexa, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Select appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set, applying proper aseptic wrapping techniques - Operate complex sterilization equipment, choosing the correct sterilization method per manufacturer instructions and reviewing all sterilizer recording charts before releasing items - Decontaminate, disinfect, and sterilize reusable instruments; disassemble and inspect items for damage or missing components - Accurately assemble surgical instrument sets and document information in the computer tracking system or paper instrument count sheets - Monitor sterilizer printouts, maintain logs, and execute the recall process for sterilization failures with prompt supervisor notification - Rotate through decontamination, surgical tray assembly, sterilization, and equipment management areas while participating in new-employee training and department in-services ### What we're looking for - Active CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Tech) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) required - High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training in healthcare sterile processing preferred - Minimum 1 year of related sterile processing experience preferred - Working knowledge of microbiology principles, aseptic technique, infection control, and cross-contamination prevention - Familiarity with full-range surgical instrument use, assembly, disassembly, and cleaning requirements - BLS/CPR certification preferred ### What's included - Pay range: $17.52–$28.04/hour (~$36,442–$58,323 annually) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Lenexa City Center is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system with a mission centered on whole-person care — body, mind, and spirit.
