AdventHealth Orlando is hiring a full-time Children's Hybrid Transport Respiratory Therapist for night-shift neonatal and pediatric critical care transport in Orlando, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Provide emergency respiratory care for acutely ill neonatal and pediatric patients during ground and rotor-wing transport
- Perform airway management including intubation, extubation, tracheostomy care, bronchoscopy assistance, and mechanical ventilation (conventional, HFV, nitric oxide)
- Execute hemodynamic procedures such as arterial cannulation, CVP/pulmonary artery catheter insertion, and cardiopulmonary profiling
- Obtain, analyze, and report blood gases and co-oximetry results; perform quality controls
- Restock and verify transport supplies and equipment; document and charge for all procedures per unit policy
- Educate staff at referring facilities through informal teaching, planned classes, and conferences
### What we're looking for
- Active RRT credential (State or NBRC) required
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric critical care experience and at least 2,000 hours of NICU experience (per Florida State Rule 64J)
- Current NRP, PALS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science required; Bachelor's preferred
- Ability to deliver patient care in confined spaces including motor vehicles and rotor-wing aircraft
- Neonatal Pediatric Transport certification (C-NPT) preferred

AdventHealth Orlando is a major faith-based health system operating one of the largest pediatric transport programs in Florida, serving neonatal and pediatric patients across a wide regional catchment area. The Children's Transport team works in close collaboration with NICU, PICU, and EMS Ground and Flight Medicine departments to deliver critical care beyond hospital walls.
