About this role

A Certified Pharmacy Technician III role at AdventHealth in Dade City, Florida, supporting advanced hospital pharmacy operations including sterile compounding, controlled substance management, and clinical collaboration. ### What you'll do - Prepare and dispense patient-specific medication doses, verifying drug, dose, dosage form, expiration, and barcode accuracy - Compound sterile and hazardous preparations (including chemotherapy) in compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards - Manage controlled substance audits, reconciliation, and diversion prevention programs - Lead hazardous medication handling practices including spill response, PPE training, and environmental safety audits - Troubleshoot and optimize pharmacy automation systems, automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs), and software platforms - Mentor pharmacy technicians and support onboarding, competency validation, and quality improvement initiatives ### What we're looking for - Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) — required - NHA or PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) — required - Minimum 1 year of contemporary hospital, retail, or ambulatory pharmacy experience - Strong knowledge of medical terminology and accurate record-keeping practices - Proficiency in aseptic technique, hazardous drug compounding, and USP sterile compounding standards (preferred) - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or pharmacy technician training program completion preferred ### What's included - Pay range: $18.14–$29.02/hr (~$37,731–$60,362 annually) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Whole-person well-being and mental health resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Dade City is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network committed to whole-person care across body, mind, and spirit.
