AdventHealth Daytona Beach is hiring a full-time Respiratory Therapist III for night shifts at its hospital campus in Daytona Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation, determining ventilator mode and settings and reassessing the patient-ventilator interface every four hours
- Draw and analyze arterial blood gases, place arterial lines, and adjust respiratory management based on results
- Respond to emergencies by establishing and maintaining airways and performing CPR
- Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostics including cardiac stress testing, pulmonary function testing, holter monitoring, ECGs, and EEGs
- Support advanced procedures such as bedside bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, navigational bronchoscopy, and conscious sedation assistance
- Serve as a clinical resource and preceptor, providing training to cardiopulmonary staff and supervising student preceptorship programs
### What we're looking for
- Active RRT credential from the State of Florida or NBRC registration (required)
- Associate degree or higher in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Science (required)
- 3+ years of hospital experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (required)
- Competency across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations including NICU (Level II & III NICU preferred)
- Proficiency in blood gas laboratory management and acute care respiratory assessment
- Strong communication, documentation, and clinical leadership qualities
