About this role

AdventHealth Porter is hiring a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for its Med-Surg unit on the night shift in Denver, Colorado. ### What you'll do - Perform and oversee venous access procedures and infusion therapy, adjusting care plans based on patient responses. - Monitor nursing staff performance, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to maintain clinical standards. - Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing unit data and implementing strategies to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency. - Mentor and precept new staff through hands-on training, feedback, and structured professional development. - Resolve staff conflicts promptly using mediation techniques to sustain a cohesive team environment. - Ensure unit-level compliance with regulatory, accrediting body, and hospital policies. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — required. - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — required. - Associate's degree in Nursing — required; Bachelor's degree preferred. - At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience — preferred. - At least 1 year of charge nurse or relevant leadership experience — preferred. - Strong critical thinking, EHR proficiency, and demonstrated ability to lead performance improvement initiatives. ### What's included - Pay range: $38.54–$71.69/hour (~$80,163–$149,115 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - Continuing education, career development programs, and whole-person well-being resources. ### About the practice AdventHealth Porter is a faith-based, community-focused hospital located at 2525 S.
