About this role

AdventHealth Daytona Beach is hiring a full-time Histology Supervisor to lead anatomic pathology laboratory operations at its Daytona Beach, Florida campus. ### What you'll do - Oversee routine histology functions including tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining. - Supervise histotechnologists, technicians, and assistants in processing tissue biopsy specimens and monitoring specimens for microscopic examination. - Coordinate daily workflow to ensure timely turnaround on anatomic pathology analyses. - Manage full-scope personnel functions: hiring, scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and corrective action. - Perform and oversee pre- and post-analytical activities including quality control, equipment maintenance, inventory control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing. - Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulatory guidelines and accrediting body standards. ### What we're looking for - Associate degree or higher in a chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science from an accredited institution (or qualifying education equivalency per CLIA standards). - 3+ years of technical histology or anatomic pathology laboratory experience. - Demonstrated technical proficiency in anatomic pathology procedures and processes. - Ability to supervise staff, direct workflow independently, and manage multiple priorities in a regulated laboratory environment. - Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with clinical staff, physicians, and administrative personnel. - Working knowledge of anatomic pathology software such as Cerner Millennium or CoPath (preferred). ### What's included - Medical, dental, and vision insurance effective day one. - Paid time off beginning on day one. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of fully paid parental leave. - Career development and continuing education resources. - Employee well-being, mental health, and pet benefit programs. ### About the practice AdventHealth Daytona Beach is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care.
