About this role

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a PRN Radiology Technologist at its Bolingbrook, Illinois hospital, with rotating shifts including holidays and a minimum of four shifts per month. ### What you'll do - Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures, producing high-quality images that meet department standards. - Position patients and select appropriate technical factors to complete procedures safely and efficiently. - Monitor patient condition, assist with transport, and ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy throughout exams. - Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. - Apply radiation safety principles (time, distance, shielding) to keep exposure ALARA for patients and staff. - Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and equipment current with routine safety checks; cross-train into advanced modalities as needed. ### What we're looking for - Active ARRT RT(R) registration (required). - Valid Illinois IEMA license (required). - Current BLS/CPR certification (required). - Minimum one year of post-certification radiologic technology experience, or recent graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program. - Working knowledge of diagnostic imaging including surgery and trauma applications. - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology (preferred); high school diploma or equivalent (required). ### What's included - Pay range: $23.32–$43.37 per hour ($48,506–$90,210 annualized equivalent). - PRN scheduling with rotating shifts and weekend commitment of at least one per month. - Opportunity to cross-train in advanced imaging modalities. ### About the practice AdventHealth Bolingbrook is part of the UChicago Medicine AdventHealth system, a faith-based health network serving the greater Chicago area.
