Manager Clinical Pharmacy - Specialty and Ambulatory Care

AdventHealth is hiring a Manager of Clinical Pharmacy – Specialty and Ambulatory Care based in Hendersonville, NC (with eligibility to be based at facilities across Georgia, North Carolina, or Kentucky). ### What you'll do - Oversee pharmacy practice programs, direct patient care services, and manage medication-use systems aligned with evidence-based best practices and regulatory standards. - Collaborate with hospital departments, physicians, nurses, and strategic business unit leaders to ensure coordinated, patient-centered pharmacy care. - Manage staff scheduling, performance appraisals, recruitment, coaching, and professional development for pharmacists and technicians in assigned areas. - Monitor clinical quality, operational, and financial outcomes using data analysis, benchmarking against internal targets and national best practices. - Identify and resolve medication safety issues, regulatory compliance gaps, and resource stewardship concerns; facilitate quality improvement initiatives as needed. - Provide active clinical pharmacy staffing as a registered pharmacist, including accurate dispensing, clinical consultation, and patient education. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Pharmacist (RPH) licensure required. - Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree required; PharmD preferred. - Minimum 5 years of clinical pharmacy experience in specialty practice within a contemporary hospital setting, with a portfolio documenting sustained contribution to practice. - PGY1 residency plus 4 years of specialty practice experience (or PGY1 + PGY2 residency plus 3 years) as an alternative pathway. - BLS certification required; ACLS and Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification preferred. - At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred. ### What's included - Salary range: $115,872 – $215,535 per year. - Medical, dental, and vision insurance effective Day One. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of fully paid parental leave. - Paid time off from Day One. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating hospitals and outpatient facilities across multiple states, including its Hendersonville, NC campus.
