About this role
AdventHealth Ocala is hiring a full-time Patient Care Technician for its inpatient nursing units in Ocala, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform treatments per policy and deliver age-, mobility-, acuity-, and culture-appropriate patient care under the direction of a registered nurse
- Respond appropriately during clinical emergencies and follow prescribed isolation and safety protocols
- Document and report all procedures in accordance with department policy
- Communicate patient needs, nursing history findings, and abnormalities to the supervising registered nurse
- Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff
- Participate in performance improvement activities and support quality standards and initiatives
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Active BLS/CPR certification (required)
- CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT certification (at least one required)
- Preferred: 1+ year of PCT experience in an acute care setting
- Preferred: prior experience as a unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent bedside role
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team members
