AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach is hiring a full-time Senior Nurse Manager for its Medical-Surgical Orthopedics unit in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Oversee staff performance, manage hiring, orientation, scheduling, and disciplinary processes for the Med-Surg Ortho unit.
- Manage unit budget and resources, maintaining appropriate staffing levels and understanding healthcare finance principles.
- Lead and implement performance and quality improvement initiatives grounded in evidence-based practice.
- Apply critical thinking and technology to operational decision-making, problem-solving, and integration of new clinical systems.
- Mentor and develop nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical practice models and professional standards.
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and maintain productive relationships with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary departments.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of acute care clinical experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- Demonstrated competencies in human resource management, financial management, and performance improvement leadership.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
