About this role

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Registered Respiratory Therapist I for night shift at AdventHealth GlenOaks in Glendale Heights, Illinois. ### What you'll do - Initiate, maintain, transport, and monitor mechanical ventilators using conventional ventilation modes per policy - Perform airway maintenance including manual resuscitator use, oral/nasal pharyngeal airway insertion, and airway suctioning - Obtain, analyze, and report arterial blood gas and co-oximetry findings; conduct quality controls as needed - Respond immediately to Code Blue emergencies and deliver CPR per American Heart Association protocols - Assess patients across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations to determine therapy efficacy and recommend protocol-driven changes - Document and charge for all procedures accurately in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team ### What we're looking for - Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science (required) - State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license or NBRC RRT credential (required) - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required) - Ability to care for patients across all age groups including neonatal and geriatric populations - 1+ year of critical care experience (preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $25.65–$52.00/hr (~$53,352–$108,160 annualized) - Sign-on bonus up to $20,000 - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks is a community hospital located in Glendale Heights, Illinois, operated under Adventist Midwest Management Services.
