About this role
AdventHealth Medical Group Colon and Rectal Surgery is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant Supervisor at its outpatient clinic in Orlando, FL, with coverage rotation across Central Florida locations.
### What you'll do
- Supervise medical assistant staff across multiple Central Florida clinic locations, including Orlando, Winter Park, Lake Nona, and Kissimmee
- Conduct staff interviews, manage employee discipline, and deliver ongoing mentorship and clinical education
- Provide direct patient care during office visits — intake, lab draws, medication administration, screenings, and care gap closure
- Ensure all clinical staff licensure, certifications, and office compliance requirements remain current
- Enforce OSHA regulations and safety policies to maintain a compliant clinical environment
- Pass biannual clinical competency evaluations and submit required documentation on schedule
### What we're looking for
- Active MA certification required: CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA
- BLS/CPR certification (required at hire)
- 2+ years of medical office experience
- Technical or vocational school training in a clinical field
- Proficiency as an EMR superuser; familiarity with PCMH standards and quality metrics
- Ability to float to multiple practice locations across Central Florida as coverage needs arise
