About this role

AdventHealth Port Charlotte is hiring a full-time Respiratory Therapist for its hospital campus in Port Charlotte, Florida. ### What you'll do - Initiate, maintain, transport, and monitor mechanical ventilators using conventional ventilation modes per policy - Perform airway maintenance including manual resuscitator use, oral/nasal pharyngeal airway insertion, and airway suctioning - Obtain, analyze, and report arterial blood gas and co-oximetry findings; complete quality controls as required - Respond immediately to Code Blue emergencies and provide CPR per American Heart Association guidelines - Interpret evaluations and test results to develop treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team - Document and charge procedures accurately while supporting patient flow through teamwork ### What we're looking for - Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science (required) - State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license — Florida (required) - NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required) - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required) - Competency across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations - 1+ year of critical care experience (preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $23.71–$44.09/hr (~$49,316–$91,707 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Port Charlotte is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system with a mission centered on whole-person care.
