About this role
AdventHealth Avista is hiring a full-time PACU Registered Nurse for day-shift coverage at its Louisville, Colorado campus.
### What you'll do
- Monitor patient condition throughout the perioperative period to ensure stability and comfort
- Administer medications and pain relief per the individualized care plan
- Adjust fluid levels and manage co-morbid conditions to support post-anesthesia recovery
- Educate patients and support persons about care procedures and recovery expectations
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the broader care team to ensure seamless handoffs
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of all care provided in Cerner
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- BLS (CPR) certification required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred
- Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience
- Ability to work in a high-acuity, physically demanding environment including call hours
- ACLS, PALS, and CNOR certifications preferred; 2+ years ambulatory surgery experience preferred
