About this role
AdventHealth Port Charlotte is hiring a full-time Cath Lab RN for the day shift at its 2500 Harbor Blvd campus in Port Charlotte, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors for cath lab patients.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing interventions to stabilize patients and maintain a safe environment.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license — required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing — required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing — preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting — preferred.
- EKG interpretation skills aligned with unit requirements.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking abilities with proficiency in Windows-based EMR systems.
