About this role
A part-time night-shift Cook position at AdventHealth Lenexa City Center in Lenexa, Kansas, supporting hospital food service operations across patient, retail, and catering meal programs.
### What you'll do
- Prepare patient, retail, and catering meals following culinary production records, including short-order and batch cooking to meet quality and temperature standards
- Execute advance prep tasks by reviewing pull sheets and organizing ingredients for upcoming service periods and high-volume production
- Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment, recording equipment temperatures and ensuring all surfaces meet health and regulatory standards
- Manage inventory through sorting, labeling, dating, and rotating stock to support food safety and minimize waste
- Collaborate with managers and team members to meet operational goals and support efficient food service delivery
- May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as operational needs demand
### What we're looking for
- 1+ year of foodservice experience in a high-volume culinary production setting (preferred)
- Working knowledge of cooking methods, recipe execution, and sanitary food preparation procedures
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations; hospital or nursing home foodservice background preferred
- Therapeutic diet preparation knowledge (preferred)
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
