About this role

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring a part-time EEG Technologist to support the Neurology department at its hospital in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Prepare patients for EEG testing using the International 10-20 system of measurement and electrode hookup - Perform quality recordings by collecting patient history, entering demographic data, conducting examinations, and readying studies for physician interpretation - Monitor EEG tracings, recognize artifact and seizure activity, and notify the physician or supervisor of abnormalities - Execute procedures in accordance with ACNS guidelines and department policy - Maintain and troubleshoot EEG equipment, submitting service tickets for repairs as needed - Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team and accurately document and charge for all procedures ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required - 1+ year of experience in neurodiagnostics, OR completion of a formal on-the-job training program, OR graduation from an accredited electroneurodiagnostics program - Demonstrated knowledge of the 10-20 system and general EEG procedures and equipment - Ability to identify artifact, respond appropriately to seizure activity, and function independently - Current BLS/CPR certification required - Strong communication and customer service skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office ### What's included - Pay range: $20.95–$38.96/hr (~$43,576–$81,037 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is a full-service community hospital located in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based health networks in the country.
