About this role
AdventHealth Port Charlotte is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Cardiology Catheterization Laboratory at its Port Charlotte, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care
- Interpret EKGs and apply advanced life support skills as required by unit standards
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required)
- 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to function effectively as a collaborative team member in a fast-paced cath lab environment
