About this role
AdventHealth Altamonte Springs is hiring a Cardiovascular Invasive Laboratory Specialist (CILS I) on a 13-week StaffFlex contract at their Altamonte Springs, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Perform diagnostic coronary, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and peripheral vascular procedures in the cath lab setting.
- Execute two of the three procedural roles — circulate, monitor, and scrub — per the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals Scope of Practice.
- Monitor patient hemodynamics, ECG, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry using specialized clinical equipment throughout each procedure.
- Participate in on-call rotation, including 14 call shifts per week and two call weekends per six-week period.
- Produce accurate, timely medical records documenting the scope and complexity of each intervention and patient clinical status.
- Perform waived and/or non-waived Point of Care Testing with verified competency documentation as required.
### What we're looking for
- Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Emergency Medical Services, or Respiratory Therapy (required); Bachelor's preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of procedural experience; cardiovascular, electrophysiology, or interventional radiology lab experience preferred.
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred.
- One of the following credentials required: RCIS, RCES, RT certification, RRT (state or NBRC), or Licensed Paramedic.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ECG interpretation, cardiovascular and vascular anatomy, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary clinical staff.

The cardiovascular services department supports a high-volume cath lab performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, and peripheral vascular procedures. StaffFlex contracts are managed directly by AdventHealth's internal workforce team, providing continuity and system-level support throughout the assignment.
