AdventHealth Medical Group is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner for its Diabetes and Endocrinology practice at Highland Lakes in Palm Harbor, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Examine patients, take medical histories, and maintain accurate patient records within an outpatient endocrinology setting
- Diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, and implement treatment plans collaboratively with supervising physicians
- Identify health risk factors and counsel patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices
- Provide health education services tailored to diabetes and endocrine conditions
- Assist supervising physicians with coordination of clinical activities and orders
- Provide call coverage including occasional weekends and nights
### What we're looking for
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required
- Minimum 1 year of NP experience
- Active licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Florida
- Advanced Registered Nurse Certification
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to practice under the auspices of a supervising MD per Florida requirements
