About this role
AdventHealth Medical Group is hiring a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to deliver outpatient cardiovascular care at the Wesley Chapel, Florida practice.
### What you'll do
- Examine patients, take medical histories, prescribe medications, and manage chronic cardiovascular conditions including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes in collaboration with supervising cardiologists.
- Read and interpret electrocardiograms; supervise nuclear and treadmill stress tests in the outpatient setting.
- Interrogate and adjust pacemaker settings in collaboration with a cardiologist.
- Monitor and adjust anticoagulation therapy; order and interpret diagnostic tests including labs and imaging.
- Provide pre- and post-procedural follow-up care and assist with or independently perform minor in-office procedures.
- Counsel patients on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and individualized care plans.
### What we're looking for
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience in a cardiology setting.
- Current Florida licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP).
- Advanced Registered Nurse Certification (board certified).
- Valid AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Ability to work weekdays with potential evening and weekend practice call.
