About this role

A Monitor Technician role at AdventHealth Port Charlotte supports inpatient telemetry monitoring on a night-weekend schedule at the Port Charlotte, FL campus. ### What you'll do - Observe telemetry monitors continuously, recognizing and documenting normal and abnormal EKG/arrhythmia patterns - Notify nursing staff promptly of any cardiac abnormalities or changes in patient status - Maintain and verify monitor alarms each shift; troubleshoot equipment as needed - Maintain telemetry logbook and printouts, including during cardiac arrest events - Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient status updates - Support departmental quality initiatives, participate in ongoing education, and maintain a clean, organized work environment ### What we're looking for - Prior monitor technician experience or successful completion of an equivalent monitor tech training program - Basic EKG/arrhythmia identification course completion (or equivalent knowledge) - BLS/CPR certification (required) - Familiarity with medical terminology and telemetry procedures - Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office; accurate keyboarding and clerical skills - Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and overtime ### What's included - Pay range: $15.87–$25.38/hr (~$33,010–$52,790 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Port Charlotte is a faith-based acute care hospital located at 2500 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL, part of the AdventHealth system.
