About this role
AdventHealth Redmond is hiring a contract Operating Room RN for its surgical services team in Rome, Georgia, at a rate of $65/hr.
### What you'll do
- Provide perioperative nursing care to surgical patients throughout the OR experience.
- Administer medications accurately and respond to unit and hospital code situations.
- Assist physicians with intraoperative and bedside procedures.
- Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges professionally.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, procedures, and discharge instructions.
- Document nursing assessments, education delivered, and patient responses in the medical record.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required); ACLS, PALS, or TNCC preferred.
- Associate degree in Nursing (at minimum); additional unit-specific credentials may apply.
- Proficiency with Windows-based computer programs and electronic documentation systems.
- Strong clinical reasoning skills to assess patients and adjust care plans based on outcomes.
