About this role

AdventHealth Ocala is hiring a full-time Ultrasound Technologist for overnight shifts (Wednesday–Saturday) at its hospital campus in Ocala, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams across modalities including abdominal, vascular, OB/GYN, musculoskeletal, breast, and pediatric sonography in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols. - Position patients and manipulate transducers and technical factors to acquire optimal images, waveforms, and Doppler data for radiologist interpretation. - Complete the ultrasound technologist worksheet with accurate, clear documentation to support radiologist review and dictation, maintaining records in EMR and PACS systems. - Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of care. - Explain procedures to patients across all age groups—infant through geriatric—ensuring comfort, cooperation, and privacy throughout each exam. - Maintain exam room readiness, equipment cleanliness, and adherence to infection control and safety standards. ### What we're looking for - Active registry in at least one of the following: RDMS (AB, OB/GYN, or PS), RVS, RVT, RT(VS)(ARRT), RT(BS)(ARRT), or RMSKS. - BLS/CPR certification (required). - High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or technical/vocational training in a sonography program preferred. - 1+ year of ultrasound experience preferred; new graduates with eligible registry credentials are considered. - Proficiency with PACS applications and EMR systems, including basic Microsoft Office skills. - Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, cross-sectional and vascular anatomy, and Doppler techniques. ### What's included - Pay range: $28.68–$53.35/hour (~$59,654–$110,968 annualized). - $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one. - Paid time off from day one; 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development resources and continuing education support. ### About the practice AdventHealth Ocala is a full-service acute care hospital serving Marion County and surrounding communities in north-central Florida, operating as part of the AdventHealth system.
