AdventHealth South Overland Park is hiring a part-time night/weekend Emergency Department RN at its Overland Park, Kansas campus.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, and sociocultural factors for ED patients.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions and following hospital protocols.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to support recovery and compliance.
- Respond promptly to code situations, delivering interventions to stabilize patients.
- Supervise and delegate care to healthcare team members, ensuring quality and efficiency across the shift.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — required.
- Associate's degree in Nursing — required; Bachelor's degree — preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification — required.
- 1+ year of acute care hospital experience — preferred.
- TNCC, PEARS, or CCNS certification — preferred.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and abstract-reasoning skills with effective written and verbal communication.
