Director Sterile Processing

AdventHealth is seeking a Director of Sterile Processing to lead sterile processing operations across an assigned campus in Orange City, Florida. ### What you'll do - Supervise, oversee, and guide sterile processing department staff including supervisors, coordinators, and technicians - Round regularly in sterile processing departments to assess workflow and ensure adherence to standards - Collaborate with Surgery leadership to manage IUSS rates, recommend instrument purchases, and coordinate capital budget planning - Perform routine audits to verify instrumentation is processed per manufacturer guidelines and initiate corrective action as needed - Maintain compliance with sterilization, safety, and security standards across all relevant regulatory bodies - Serve on intra- and inter-departmental committees related to sterile processing and infection prevention ### What we're looking for - Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, or a related field - 5+ years of sterile processing leadership experience in a hospital setting - Active CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Tech) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) — required - Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) or Certified in Sterile Processing Management (CSPM) — preferred - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and familiarity with computerized instrument tracking systems - Strong analytical, communication, and change-management skills with the ability to translate complex information across all staff levels ### What's included - Salary range: $91,314–$169,846 annually - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance starting Day One - Paid time off starting Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - CME and career development resources ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states, with a mission rooted in whole-person care of body, mind, and spirit.
