About this role
AdventHealth Daytona Beach is hiring a contract Cath Lab Technologist for day-shift coverage at its hospital on Memorial Medical Parkway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures using established aseptic technique
- Operate interventional and cardiac x-ray units, contrast injectors, balloon pumps, and code cart equipment
- Monitor and communicate electrocardiographic and hemodynamic changes to the physician and nursing staff throughout procedures
- Document accurate patient data in EPIC and Philips EXPER procedural documentation systems
- Anticipate physician equipment needs and recognize potential emergency situations, implementing preventative measures as directed
- Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining maximum image quality
### What we're looking for
- Associate degree required
- Active ACLS and BLS certification required
- One of the following credentials required: RT(R)(ARRT), RCIS, RCES, RRT, or Licensed Paramedic
- 2+ years of experience in a diagnostic cath or IR lab performing STEMI procedures (preferred)
- Proficiency with Philips EXPER, EPIC, and related departmental IT systems
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced lab environment
