About this role
AdventHealth Porter is hiring a PACU Registered Nurse on a StaffFlex contract assignment at their facility in Denver, Colorado.
### What you'll do
- Deliver coordinated, competent nursing care for an assigned group of post-anesthesia patients, applying assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation throughout the care continuum.
- Perform and document accurate initial assessments including multi-system physical assessment, safety screening, discharge planning, and psychosocial/cultural considerations.
- Monitor patient lab work for trends, report abnormal results to the responsible physician, and obtain appropriate interventions in a timely manner.
- Supervise and direct assigned nursing personnel using professional judgment and independent discretion.
- Communicate relevant clinical findings and patient status updates to the care team throughout each shift.
- Work day shifts on a 4×10 schedule (0900–1930) with on-call requirements.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Trauma Nurse Course Certification (TNCC) preferred.
