About this role
A full-time day-shift Registered Nurse joins the Medical/Surgical unit at AdventHealth DeLand, a faith-based health system hospital in DeLand, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors for each patient.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to support compliance and recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians and ancillary departments to coordinate care, and supervise or delegate tasks to healthcare team members.
- Respond to code situations promptly, providing stabilizing interventions and maintaining accurate medical record documentation.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- Proficiency in EKG interpretation per unit requirements.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and abstract-reasoning skills with effective written and verbal communication.
