About this role

AdventHealth DeLand is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Med/Surg unit at its acute care hospital in DeLand, Florida. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors. - Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care. - Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions. - Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to support compliance and recovery. - Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and maintain effective communication. - Respond to code situations promptly, providing stabilizing interventions and maintaining accurate, timely medical record documentation. ### What we're looking for - Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required. - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. - Current BLS/CPR certification required. - A minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred. - EKG competency per unit-specific requirements. - Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to delegate effectively. ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $31.53–$52.24 (approximately $65,582–$108,659 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid Time Off from Day One. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - Mental health resources, whole-person well-being programs, and pet benefits. ### About the practice AdventHealth DeLand is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care.
