About this role
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a part-time CT Technologist for weekend day shifts at its La Grange, Illinois hospital campus.
### What you'll do
- Perform high-quality CT examinations per provider orders and departmental protocols, optimizing image quality for accurate diagnosis.
- Prepare and administer IV contrast material, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and maintain ALARA radiation safety principles.
- Review patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify contraindications prior to scanning.
- Operate CT scanners, injectors, and monitors safely; adapt protocols for patients across all age groups.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and PACS systems throughout each shift.
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care.
### What we're looking for
- ARRT RT(R) certification — required.
- ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) certification — preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification — required.
- High school diploma or equivalent — required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree — preferred.
- 1+ year of radiology experience with completion of a CT training program — preferred.
- Proficiency with PACS, cross-sectional anatomy, cardiac and vascular imaging, 3D workstation tools, and IV placement.
