### What you'll do
- Collect patient clinical, demographic, and insurance data; verify payer coverage and Medicare eligibility for each patient
- Enter referrals into the scheduling system, verify required information prior to admission, and maintain accurate reference files
- Serve as liaison between facility clinicians and clinical teams to ensure timely patient scheduling and track referral status
- Coordinate receipt of referrals by conducting initial phone evaluations for appropriateness of home health services
- Oversee daily clerical operations including data entry accuracy, phone coverage, and clinical records management
- Liaise with the central billing office to resolve billing issues and ensure timely claim submission
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1+ year of experience in surgery scheduling (required)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Ability to assign, delegate, and supervise clerical staff responsibilities
- Competency in payer verification processes including Medicare and commercial insurance
