About this role
AdventHealth Castle Rock is hiring a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist I to perform clinical laboratory testing at its Castle Rock, Colorado hospital campus.
### What you'll do
- Perform analytical and post-analytical laboratory procedures accurately in accordance with established standard operating procedures
- Conduct pre-analytical activities including specimen collection, biological specimen processing, equipment maintenance, and inventory control
- Participate in proficiency testing and performance improvement activities in compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body regulations
- Maintain laboratory equipment and workspaces through routine cleaning and disinfection
- Provide technical support and report results to clinical staff; resolve customer service issues within established guidelines
- Precept and train new employees and students, documenting orientation activities appropriately
### What we're looking for
- Associate degree in a laboratory science, chemical or biological science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution (or qualifying US military medical laboratory training)
- Technical proficiency in laboratory testing, procedures, and processes relevant to the assigned department
- Ability to handle infectious biological specimens, caustic and toxic chemicals safely with appropriate PPE
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, adapt to varying priorities, and direct workflow with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

- Pay range: $26.89–$50.01/hour ($55,931–$104,021 annualized)
