Certified Medical Assistant Ocala Float

A Certified Medical Assistant (Float) position is available with AdventHealth in Ocala, Florida, supporting multiple outpatient clinic locations across Marion County on a full-time day-shift schedule. ### What you'll do - Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record findings accurately in patient charts - Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and assist providers with ordered treatments under supervision - Document provider encounters including diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions - Transcribe patient orders for laboratory tests, radiology, and medications - Provide patient education and explanations of risks and benefits - Perform basic clerical duties including answering phones, maintaining records, filing, and stocking supplies ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification (required) - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Customer service experience in a medical office setting (preferred) - Willingness to travel within Marion County to float across clinic locations ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hour ($35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Additional float compensation and mileage reimbursement provided - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one and four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, nonprofit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care in body, mind, and spirit.
